Step 1. Unscrew the base by placing your hand flat on the bottom of the vacuum jug and turning to the left.
Step 2. If the base is difficult to loosen, place the vacuum jug in a bowl of warm soapy water for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Step 3. When the bottom is loosened, remove the outer bottom and the small centerpiece.
Step 4. Screw the outer base and the small center piece together.
Step 5. Remove the glass insert and pour / clean the broken glass out.
Step 6. Check that the silicone ring is as it should be (it is inside the vacuum jug, up to the top, around the edge).
Step 7. Insert the new glass insert by pushing it gently into the vacuum jug so that it is fitting in the silicone ring.
Step 8. Screw the base back on by placing the entire hand flat on the bottom of the vacuum jug and turn to the right.Step 9. Tighten the middle piece with a coin.
